This is a collection of articles I have written for the Direct English Website at the rate of one a month over a period of nearly two years.
The articles are about language learning with particular reference to the approaches adopted in Direct English. The more learners and teachers understand the process, the better equipped they are for the task and these articles will certainly deepen their understanding of what is involved.
There is no particular order to these articles. They cover a variety of themes from very general pieces (Is English Easy or Difficult?) to detailed analysis of particular areas for (Yes/No Questions).
I hope readers will find the pieces interesting and engaging. Above all, I hope the pieces will serve as a general guide and support system to the practical task of acquiring a foreign language.
